GLOBALG.A.P.  is a set of international standards on good agricultural, livestock and aquaculture practices. The scheme is owned by the company Food Plus GmbH, a non-profit organization that develops standards for the certification of processes for obtaining products from the primary sector worldwide, including aquaculture. The standard is designed to give consumers confidence about the practices used in the production of food at its origin, minimizing the adverse environmental impacts of normal agricultural activities and the use of chemical inputs, ensuring, ultimately, a performance responsible based on respect for the health and safety of workers, as well as animal welfare.
